Building Tools to Help Childcare Providers Maximize Their Income

Rebecca Karasik is a co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Pie for Providers, an open-source tech non-profit which builds software to unlock billions in government funding for childcare providers in the US.

As a Product & UX person, Rebecca specializes in user research, product analytics, and designing for low-technology and low-resource users. She has designed & built products in a wide range of industries including childcare, healthcare, advertising, and retail.

Prior to Pie for Providers, Rebecca was a Lead UX Consultant at Thoughtworks, where she worked closely with stakeholders and end users to design and develop scalable, feasible, and delightful products that achieved critical business outcomes.

She is passionate about the care economy, reproductive justice, cats, and logic puzzles. She is from NYC and lives happily in Quito, Ecuador.
