Joy Malonza
The Down Ballot
Joy Malonza is the founder of The Down Ballot, where she is building a one-stop-shop that provides progressive constituents with resources to make informed decisions on who best represents their core values. The platform aims to help voters connect the dots between a politician's stance on key issues and the impact that their policy positions will have on various sectors of society.
The Down Ballot’s mission statement asserts that, "Ultimately, it's not enough to simply provide information. Contextualizing policies within historical, racial, and socio-economic frameworks is critical to furthering political education."
The Civic Hacker Network is a nonprofit, fiscally sponsored by Open Collective Foundation, a 501c3. Find out how you can support this summit and our work here: https://opencollective.com/civichackers
