The Civic Hacker Summit started as a passion project of Lori McNeill, engineer turned analyst, mom, educational outreach enthusiast, amateur flamenco dancer, and concerned citizen. Lori is working on using data to address issues in her own community, and supporting the community of civic hackers around the world who are trying, and succeeding, in doing the same.
She does this work through her role as founder and director of the Civic Hacker Network, a global community of changemakers who believe that "Problems have solutions."
The Civic Hacker Summit is our opportunity to highlight the stories, tools, and methods being used by “civic hackers” across diverse geographic and experiential backgrounds with the goal of educating and inspiring people to effectively address the problems they see in their communities using data and technology.
